The housebuilder Aedas Homes increased its sales by 20% in July and August compared to the same period last year. The company has explained that the Covid-19 pandemic has generated new needs for customers who are now looking for homes with outdoor spaces, such as terraces or gardens, located on the outskirts of cities.
Aedas has closed 258 operations in two months, a record for the company. Of those, 124 transactions were carried out in July –the same figure as a year earlier– and 134 in August, up by 47% YoY. In this sense, the company has reported that, so far, the strong level of commercial activity over the summer months is continuing during the first few days of September.
