The Minister for Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos, has announced that he will unveil legislation to limit rental prices before the summer. That was one of the key commitments that the PSOE agreed with Unidas Podemos in their governance agreement.
The Minister responsible for housing (who has the rank of Secretary-General) will present Congress with the legislative initiative that will allow autonomous regions and town halls to limit rental prices on a temporary basis in areas that have suffered from “exorbitant rises” in recent years.
