The Madrid Nuevo Norte project has been approved by an absolute majority at a plenary session of the Madrid City Council, with just one abstention from the PSOE. As such, the long bureaucratic path to obtain definitive approval is over, since the Community of Madrid has already given ‘its blessing’.
The City Council had already approved the tender for the construction contract for the renovation of the North Junction with a budget of almost €63.5 million.
