Over the next few days, the British developer Intu Properties will unveil the urbanisation and detailed study plans for the Intu Costa del Sol shopping and leisure centre in Torremolinos at Málaga Town Hall. The project will involve an investment of €1,000 million.
In this way, Intu is pushing ahead with its ambitious project in Spain despite the serious financial difficulties that the company has been going through in recent months, which have led it to put up for sale the three shopping centres that it owned in Spain: Puerto Venecia, Intu Principado and Madrid Xanadú. In the end, it has only managed to sell the first two, since the Covid-19 pandemic paralysed the sale of the third, according to comments made by the British group a few days ago.
