A Decrease in the Value of Vitruvio’s Portfolio Generates Losses Even Though its Revenues Grow

The Socimi closed the first half of 2020 with losses of 5.8 million euros, compared to a profit of 935,600 euros during the same period in 2019, as reported to BME Growth.

Vitruvio, the Socimi led by Joaquín López-Chicheri, closed the first half of the year in the red, specifically with losses of 5.8 million euros, after the recognition of a 4.4% decrease in the valuation of its portfolio to 7.5 million euros.

Nevertheless, the company explains that it has continued to generate cash from rental income, “even despite the aid afforded to those tenants who have justifiably requested it,” and that it will continue to “distribute dividends to shareholders against the return of the issue premium”.
