Elix has been shopping. In September, the real estate investment promoter, which focuses on high added value living, bought two buildings: one in Barcelona’s Eixample district for 8 million euros and another in Madrid’s Salamanca district for 8.5 million euros. Through these acquisitions, the company is planning to develop two new projects in these cities.
The first asset, which is located on Carrer d’Aragó, in Barcelona’s Eixample district, is a tertiary-use building that is currently operated as a rotation car park. Elix plans to demolish the current property and later develop offices on the site to the highest standards in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency. In this way, the property developer will create a more versatile space that will allow it to pursue a multi-tenant or single-tenant strategy. The new building will have a total surface area of 2,300 square metres, spread over six floors plus another two basement floors spanning 900 square meters for parking.
