CriteriaCaixa, the company that manages the business assets of Fundación La Caixa, has closed the first half of 2022 with a recurring consolidated net profit of 744 million euros, which represents a 26% increase compared to the same period a year earlier.
The improvement is driven by two factors. On the one hand, 12% of the rise is due to the contribution from its banking holdings (mainly CaixaBank), and 49% is due to its industrial and services portfolio (Naturgy, amongst others).
