The Direct Construction Cost Index, prepared by the construction company ACR, has reported a year-on-year increase of 7.7% in building prices. Over the last six months, the growth reached 9.6%.
Foundations and structures for new builds saw the largest increases, up increases of 13.4% and 17%, respectively. Also, increases of 7.1% were observed in carpentry and 10.4% in glazing. The only item that fell in price was earthmoving, with a drop of 1.8%.
