Thor Spain Private Equities, a developer of healthcare and hospital spaces, has sold 19 retirement homes in Spain to the Belgian fund Cofinimmo.
Two years ago, the two companies signed an agreement to develop retirement homes and healthcare centres in Spain and Portugal. Now, the fund has acquired almost twenty complexes. The price of the deal was not disclosed, according to EjePrime.
One of the assets is located in Vigo and is already in operation, while the second is in Oleiros (A Coruña), is ready, and the first residents are expected to move in soon.
The operation also includes two retirement homes in Cartagena and Lleida, which will be completed in the coming months. The rest of the portfolio is at different stages of development. It includes two in Castellón, one in Tarragona, one in Mallorca, one in Tenerife, two in Murcia, one in Ourense, Córdoba, León, Oviedo, Seville, Lugo, Elche and Alicante.
