On Wednesday afternoon, the Catalan Parliament approved a bill promoted by the Tenants’ Union to limit rent increases in the autonomous region.
The Tenants’ Union and JxCat presented a last-minute agreement that they have reached, which allows a slight modification of the wording that the entity had presented. Small property owners with a monthly income of around 2,000 euros, including the rent they receive, will be exempt from the limit.
