Aviva Investors, the global asset management arm of Aviva plc (the sixth largest insurer in the world), and the Spanish developer Layetana Living have joined forces to create a new company that will be used to promote a portfolio of rental homes (build to rent) in Spain.
The new company, whose objective is to generate a portfolio worth more than 500 million euros comprising around 2,000 homes in total (all of them BTR), has already completed its first development project by acquiring a residential development in Barcelona upon the advice of the consulting firm Knight Frank.
