The Regional Government of Andalusia has purchased the Palmas Altas Campus and two adjoining plots of land for the future City of Justice in Seville for 70,660,000 euros.
This new acquisition will allow for the unification of all the judicial headquarters in Seville on a single site. «We still have a few years of work to do, but we needed to own the buildings and land and the two plots of land to begin,» said the Vice-President and Councillor for Tourism Regeneration, Justice and Local Administration, Juan Marín.
Building the City of Justice will mean significant savings for the public treasury. It will allow the municipality to eliminate the cost of leasing 20,500 square metres of office space in buildings throughout the city, which exceeds five million euros per year. In addition, savings will also be made by concentrating maintenance, cleaning and security services on a single site.
