The American company Amazon, founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994, made its debut in Spain in 2012 with its logistics centre in San Fernando de Henares. Since then, the e-commerce giant has increased its sales and its presence throughout the country, creating a real estate empire that now comprises 29 assets between logistics and office properties.
The company invested 2.9 billion euros in Spain between 2011 and 2018. In addition, it is estimated that it now has more than 20,000 workers across the country, including those working at its facilities, as well as those carrying out deliveries.
