Amazon will open two new logistics centres in El Far d’Empordà (Girona) and Onda (Castellón) in 2022, the e-commerce giant announced on Tuesday.
Specifically, the logistics centre in El Far d’Empordà will be the company founded by billionaire Jeff Bezos’ first in the province of Girona, while the one in Onda will be its first in the Valencian Community.
Amazon’s presence in Catalonia has increased significantly in recent years. By the end of this year, it will have twelve facilities in the region: three logistics centres in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), Martorelles (Barcelona) and Castellbisbal (Barcelona); a distribution centre in Barberà del Vallès (Barcelona); seven logistics stations in Rubí (Barcelona), Montcada i Reixac (Barcelona), Mollet del Vallès (Barcelona), Parets del Vallès (Barcelona), Tarragona and two in Barcelona, and an urban centre in Barcelona.
In addition, Amazon is already present in the Valencian Community with two logistics stations: one in Paterna (Valencia) and another in Alicante.
