On Friday, Amazon announced that it would inaugurate three new logistics facilities in the Community of Madrid, in Madrid, Móstoles and Coslada. The new facilities are expected to be operational within four months.
Amazon’s new logistics facilities will create more than 220 permanent jobs. About 20 partner delivery companies will also deploy hundreds of drivers to deliver packages to customers in the region.
The logistics facilities drive the last mile of Amazon’s order process and help improve the delivery experience. Packages are shipped to one of these facilities from nearby logistics centres and then loaded onto the delivery companies’ vehicles.
