The real estate manager AEW has acquired from AKM Real Estate II, managed by Mina Inmobiliaria, an 8,500 m2 office building located at calle Juan de Austria 39-47 in Barcelona. The building includes 24 parking spaces.
With this transaction, AEW has reaffirmed investor interest in the Barcelona office market, especially in the 22@ area. Demand for space continues to rise, with very high levels of leasing, surpassing even Madrid.
The ground floor is currently leased to the Generalitat de Catalunya, while the rest of the office floors are unoccupied. The building will undergo a thorough refurbishment to bring it up to the highest levels of quality and sustainability.
TC Gabinete Inmobiliario has advised the transaction. TCGI brokered 2 billion euros worth of transactions in the last two years.
