New build homes are booming not only in Spain’s major cities such as Madrid and Barcelona. Aelca, a company for the management and marketing of real estate development projects, has two developments underway in Vigo owned by Árqura Homes, through which it is placing a total of 45 new homes on the new-build residential market.
Vigo is one of the cities where the construction sector is experiencing the most important growth. According to the Brains Real Estate real estate big data platform, at the end of the second quarter of the year, the average price of a brand new home in the city was 2,986 euros per square metre, very close to, for example, Málaga, where the average was 3,290€/sqm, and higher than in other large cities such as Valencia, Sevilla and Zaragoza.
