The logistics sector has not reduced its appetite for investment, which soared after the Covid-19 health crisis. In 2021, this real estate sector has starred in some of the biggest real estate transactions of the year, including the largest operation in terms of volume: Bankinter’s purchase of the Montepino logistics platform for more than €1 billion.
In total, over 2021, investment in this sector is expected to be between 2 billion and 2.5 billion euros, according to real estate experts consulted by Brainsre.news.
“As we pointed out in our report The Logistic Property Telescope, investment in logistics will exceed €2 billion in 2021, which is a milestone in the sector that will be practically impossible to surpass,” says Javier García-Mateo, the partner in charge of real estate in the strategy & transactions area of EY.
