JLL forecasts that between 2021 and 2022, 1.2 million square metres of logistics space will be put on the market in Madrid and Barcelona. In Barcelona, there will be 280,000 m2, while in the capital the figure will reach 950,000 m2. In addition, they expect investments in Last Mile, microhubs, collaborative warehouses and cold storage to soar.
The real estate consultancy estimates that logistics investment in 2020 reached 1.1 billion euros. These figures beat previous forecasts due to the boom in e-commerce.
